After logging her second career hat trick Sunday, Northwestern State forward Brittany Caserma was named the Southland Conference Offensive Player of the Week on Tuesday, the league announced.

Caserma's three goals led a Lady Demon (3-2) offensive explosion Sunday in a 5-2 win against ULM.

The Murrieta, California, native's first hat trick came in 2017 opener with a trio of goals against LSU Shreveport.

"We got to see the impact Caserma has and what she's able to do," said NSU coach Jess Jobe.  "Those scrappy moments where she's willing to fight and use those physical attributes to win those balls.

Caserma scored her first three goals of the season Sunday after missing the season's first two matches and not scoring in the next two.
